Sees the completion of our second UK showroom and Orangebox US Inc. setting up manufacturing in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

A landmark year for Orangebox, with the launch of both Smartworking®, the largest office furniture showroom in London, and of our iconic Book of Products.
2014
We begin manufacturing from our second facility in South Wales, and introduce three new product platforms.
2014
Also sees the publication of our extensive Mobile Generations, which reports on the new challenges facing the contemporary workplace.
2013
We begin manufacturing Do, a new generation task chair, which has subsequently established itself as the benchmark for high volume, high value task seating.
2012
Boomers & Millennials is published to wide acclaim and sets the standard for research and insight that’s highly valued by both designers and facilities professionals.
2011
Marks our first foray into digital communication with the design of our Smartworking App and computer animations for Airea, our first generation Pod system.
2010
Sees the introduction of the award-winning Ara, the first office task chair to achieve Cradle-to-Cradle accreditation, and the result of our groundbreaking No Green Bull environmental strategy.
2008
Is a year of rapid expansion that culminates with the opening of our rooftop showroom in Clerkenwell London in early 2009, which allows the full scope of Airea Pods to be viewed within one space.
2006
We achieve the first generational gatepost in our development with the publication of our second Work in the Comfort Zone. This expands our portfolio of diverse and complementary products, focused on solutions for the new 3rd space in office planning.
2004
Joy, our second generation task chair is introduced, establishing our commitment to the development and manufacture of volume task seating to complement our expanding portfolio of smart products. This enables more diverse office spaces to become more productive.
2004
Another highlight was the publication of the second Office Wars. This research and insight document was produced in collaboration with Philip Ross and the Cordless Group, who went on to become a global conduit for the presentation and discussion of new ideas and technologies reshaping the workplace.
2002
Orangebox begins with the launch of X10, our first task chair and our first portfolio of products, which we declared were: `Designed for a lighter more domestic kind of place. Because we believe you go to work to get results and we know that you`re more likely to get them in you`re as comfortable at work as you are at home`.
